September 9th saw the group step onto the field for their first ever game of football against opposition. With just 5 players available the boys faced a challenging 40 minute game without substitutes and against a strong well established club.

No one could have predicted what happened next...

As the whistle blew to signal kick off it took less than a minute for AFC Kingston to take the lead and score their first ever goal as a team - unbelievable start. The team went on to score a further 7 goals that day and most importantly play with confidence and creativity both on and off the ball.

The following Saturday saw the same 5 boys travel to game number two, spirits were high from the previous week and a good training session. The game started much more evenly than the previous weeks and young George was called upon to make a handful of saves in the AFC Kingston Goal. Resilience paid off for our boys as they eventually ran out winners of the match and scored 5 more goals in the process, four for the formidable Charlie.

What a start to their footballing journey these young men have had: played 2, won 2, scored 13 goals and all without any substitutes.
